Porpora brings together the photographs that Lina Pallotta has taken of Porpora Marcasciano, a historic Italian trans activist starting form 1990. The project intertwines everyday private life and collective struggles, becoming the image of a complex and multifaceted human experience.

The publication aims to acknowledge an exceptional story that goes beyond its sole protagonist and becomes a collective narrative, addressing the issue of visibility and representation of the trans experience.
