Casa Azul

Casa Azul is a socio-visual research carried out inside the men’s prison in Mexico City, where Giulia lacolutti has the opportunity to work with five trans women prisoners. 

It is a book capable of condensing extremely complex thoughts and themes into limited spaces, and of returning them to us, thanks also to the techniques used, for example the use of colour, which here takes on a fundamental symbolic value. 

Through written testimonies of the subjects photographed, the author shows us the courageous struggle that these people have to face in their everyday lives.
